I dont see how retailers are protesting against amazon, most retailers have terrific behaviour with not being at the shop at provided time, engaged with family on call while customer is standing,no appropriate return policy, lack of product safety at store, creating traffic chaos & all sorts of bad operations,i guess more than 90 small retailers are not having great experience for customers and rest even with good stores have terrible pricing & takes time out of customers in finding the right item. Most store owners dont deserve to protest against amazon, there are few problems with e-commerce but in no way should retailers try to protest against it. Its like bullock cart owner suing car & plane companies & protesting against them. We need both with improvement, while amazon could scale & improve its operations, there is little scope for the small players hence adding to inefficiencies in the system. The laws should be same for both players with guarantee, returns & other policies so that one doesnt benefit from the lack of policies.

With warranty claims, both retail & ecommerce have gone bad because of poor enforcement, testing, regulation & inefficient courts. When i consulted one lawyer,he said one consumer pursued similar lawsuit for years, spent more than product , won the claim but then company refused to pay , thats fine. Lawyers themselves dont trust the judiciary, what can you expect from the rest?

Manufacturer with warranty and service claims almost remains hidden, with ecommerce, amazon tells to contact seller, seller to manufacturer & manufacturer back to seller, amazon demands some form to be filled which no manufacturer or seller does & at the end warranty and insurance fraud happen and remain unclaimed. Judiciary as per lawyers cant be trusted, whats the option? India has become dumping ground of poor quality products by both domestic & international brands & when it comes to service, international brands lack regulation & domestic brands are worst at service.Gone are the days when products used to work efficiently for 1 year because now they dont, who is there to regulate & enforce?
